Why we choose to support One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is an international nonprofit founded in 2014, dedicated to global
reforestation and ecosystem restoration.So far, they have worked with 378 partners to plant
over 135 million trees worldwide and have supported greening projects in 106
cities—restoring ecosystems, reducing climate change impacts, and protecting biodiversity.
They hold the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency, openly sharing results so every
donation creates meaningful change for the planet.
One Tree Planted is also a co-manager of Terrafund for AFR100, an official partner of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a board member of the U.S. chapter of the Trillion Trees Initiative, and an official representative to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). They collaborate with the World Resources Institute (WRI), the Global Mangrove Alliance, the Jane Goodall Institute, the U.S. Forest Service, and many local partners. From site planning and seedling cultivation to planting and three years of monitoring, they ensure every tree has the best chance to thrive and deliver lasting, positive impact.
